On December 6, the training class of western style pastry is available with barista Vincent Cheng and Stella Wang here in Leipzig at our university to teach  us how to make coffee, with more than  20 teachers and students from the College of International Cooperation.

Vincent Cheng starts with some basic knowledge of  coffee, how to use coffee machines and the process of making coffee. When he is making the coffee, he explains very carefully to the teachers how to make it. He says, “Making coffee is also a kind of culture. It looks easy and seems uninteresting, but it actually takes a lot of learning.” When you make a cup of coffee, coffee beans need to be finely grinded with the amount of milk at the proper temperature. Besides, you should be very patient and have a good control of it. Together with Vincent Cheng, comes Stella Wang who also passionately explains to us how to make honey cakes.

This training class is fully and well equipped with coffee machines, roaster, refrigerator with high and low temperature, and it also provides different kinds of ingredients so that teachers and students could have the opportunity to cook the western food on the spot and make various kinds of coffee and pastry to better understand the dietary culture of western countries, which  could add color to our campus life and create a diverse atmosphere of international community.

As our university is becoming more and more international, various training classes and culture exchange programs have become colorful with more overseas students coming. This diversity has created a better environment of language and culture for our students, which just sets a role model for other private universities.
